An Exhibition of pupils’ artwork took place on Monday 18th July at Prescot Primary School as part of the ‘Art of Bugs Project’ that has recently taken place. This was a partnership project between The Prescot School and Prescot Primary School, and the exhibition gave the pupils who took part an opportunity to show off their fantastic, creative work.
Mr Reed from The Prescot School took a series of amazing pictures of some creepy crawlies that live in his back garden. Using these fabulous photographs as inspiration, Mrs Lawton has worked with Year 5 children to produce artwork of wonderful quality and expertise.
The colourful canvases and pictures were then displayed at the Art of Bugs Exhibition on 18th July. Parents were invited to view the art work and discuss how the project had taken shape over the weeks of working on it. The children were extremely enthusiastic and able to explain the processes of creating their masterpieces, demonstrating not only their excellent artistic skills and infectious enthusiasm but also their knowledge of correct terminology.
The gallery shows the excellent work undertaken. Well done Year 5 at Prescot Primary School.
