A ‘Field of Poppies‘ created by the Friends of Prescot Cemetery & Churchyard surrounded the BI War Memorial, which honours the soldiers of British Insulated and Helsby Cables who died in the First World War (1914-1918).
Our Prefects contributed to the memorial display by laying a wreath of poppies. We are very proud of the responsible and respectful manner in which they represented their school by honouring those who sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom. Everyone in The Prescot School observed a two minute silence in honour of those who lost their lives.
The Prescot School Roll of Honour is also on display at our school in remembrance of all those who attended Prescot Grammar School and subsequently lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars.
