Design Technology, Art and Photography Technician

  • Salary: NJC points 19 to 22 Pro Rata (actual salary £26,501 to £28,550)
  • Contract: Term time plus 2 weeks. 37 hours per week
  • Start date: September 2024
  • Closing date: Friday 12th July 2024 at 12 noon

The Prescot School is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic technician to support the staff and pupils within the Design Technology, Art and Photography faculty at the Prescot school.

The technician will provide high quality technical support to staff and students within the Design Technology, Art and Photography areas; responsibilities would include:

  • Maintaining a high quality teaching environment
  • Running and maintaining the technology used in Design Technology, Art and Photography.
  • General maintenance of equipment.
  • Ordering equipment and materials for Design Technology, Art and Photography.
  • General administrative tasks

The Technician must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm for Design Technology, Art and Photography and enjoy working with students.

The Prescot School is situated in a state of the art, 21st century building, situated on the outskirts of Prescot, approximately ten miles from Liverpool City Centre. We are an 11-16 school which opened in September 2016 as a convertor Academy, linked to the outstanding ‘The Heath Family Trust’.
