Design Technology, Art and Photography Technician

  • Salary: £27,649 to £29,724
  • Working time: Term time plus 2 weeks. 37 hours per week
  • Start date: September 2025

The Prescot School is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic technician to support the staff and pupils within the Design Technology, Art and Photography faculty.

The Prescot School is situated in a state of the art, 21st century building, situated on the outskirts of Prescot, approximately ten miles from Liverpool City Centre. We are an 11-16 school which opened in September 2016 as a converter Academy linked to the outstanding ‘The Heath Family Trust’.

The Technician must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm for Design Technology, Art and Photography and enjoy working with students.

A strong working knowledge of a range of Design Technology techniques (e.g. Graphics, Resistant Materials) with a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area or relevant experience is essential, as well as knowledge in the use of IT and, or willingness to learn about CAD/CAM.
