Literacy at TPS
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn the more places you’ll go.” Dr Seuss.
Studying Literacy at The Prescot School should enable pupils to access the curriculum at KS3, KS4 and beyond. At the heart of Literacy in our school is the ability to read fluently for pleasure and to access all subjects. We value the importance of communication through being able to speak appropriately in a variety of scenarios to people from all walks of life. It is essential that we widen our vocabulary and secure our grammatical structures to allow us to express our ideas effectively through our writing.
Literacy enables pupils to access the world and by having the power to read, write and communicate effectively the possibilities for our pupils’ future are endless.
